Hudson Table is hiring for a Host and Service position to help execute catered events and chef competitions in their Brooklyn space. This role prepares the space for events such as live chef competitions, rehearsal dinners, baby and bridal showers, and unique dining events. During the event, the Host is responsible for greeting guests, anticipating guest needs, setting up the space and buffet for appetizers, entrees and dessert, replenishing beverages as well as serving wine and beer throughout, helping to clean up after the event is finished, and overall acting in a professional manner to assist in the completion of a flawless event. Excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to think and act quickly and effectively, while retaining self-composure are essential.

- At least 2 years relevant experience in hosting in a restaurant or at events.
- Excellent communication skills are required; ability to listen and make a connection.
- Must be able to handle a fast paced environment in a hospitable manner with professionalism and poise.
- Must be comfortable and skilled at communicating with chefs, kitchen assistants and guests
- Ability to carry multiple beverages, clear tables efficiently and assist dishwashers by bussing dish and cookware to the dishroom.
- Position entails standing and walking during the entire shift.
Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
